Communicate with your clients via SMS
In addition to emails and secure messages, we will be adding the ability for firms to send and receive SMS messages to their clients. You will be able to send SMS as one-off and as automations You will be able to reply to SMS received from your clients While secure messages (similar to Whatsapp, but integrated with your portal) offer additional functionality (client tasks, automatic reminders if message is unread, attached documents, etc) - SMS will offer a way for you to communicate with your clients on their phone without using any additional apps and not via email.
Automatically charge your clients at fixed schedules via credit card or direct debit (ACH). While invoices could be created automatically with automations, recurring invoices will take the ‘payment’ step out of the client's hands and it will happen automatically. Clients will be presented with a professional page to review, enter their bank/credit card details and approve the recurring invoice. For each recurring invoice, you will be able to see: Aggregate invoice amount ($1000 at 12 months = $12,000) Paid to date ($3000 paid so far on 3 payments) Balance ($9000 balance on this recurring invoice schedule
TaxDome currently offers contracts (engagement letters) - Proposals are the logical next step. Proposals will allow you to better align expectations between firm & client, agree on fees and payment schedules, and fully present your value in professional proposal that reflects your brand. We will roll out the below features over time, but the end result will include: Option to require payment upon signing the proposal (ACH or CC) Option to require recurring payment schedule upon signing the proposal (ACH or CC) Choose your adventure (offer options A, B, C) and client chooses which they prefer More design options and increased customization This is a big undertaking and we’re excited to bring this additional functionality to the TaxDome invoicing suite.
@mentions in Job cards
We are excited to announce a new feature on our Jobs – the ability to mention your teammates! When working on a Job card, you can mention specific team members to notify them and make sure that everyone is on the same page. This will improve intra-firm communication and collaboration on projects. To mention a teammate, simply type the "@" symbol followed by their username in the new comment section of the job card. They will receive a notification and will be able to view and respond to the job card. With this addition, @mentions will be available on Tasks, Account notes and messages, and we plan to incorporate this functionality across the TaxDome platform. We hope this new feature will help you and your team work more efficiently.
New section: global messages
A single place to view all active and archived chats across all Client Accounts. In future releases we plan to include global sections for all TaxDome features (Contracts, Organizers, Documents, etc).
UX updates to invoice line items
As part of an overhaul of invoices, we plan to make UX updates to the invoice creation page: Service items to be renamed to line items Add one-off line items easily Mark line items as taxable/non-taxable vs entire invoice Email invoice checkbox toggled on by default
